Every year I get the privilege to photograph this family and it just gets sweeter and more fun each time! We hung out in the cornfield, checked out the corn to see how ready it was to harvest, then we headed down to the river! The kids fished and skipped rocks and we even roasted marshmallows till the sun was long gone.
Matt + Alyssa are one of those couples who are a little quiet but their love for each other radiates from their faces. They are so sweet and fun and just absolutely in love with each other. Their joy was so contagious! Plus, there were COWS and hay bales and a gorgeous sunset and did I mention cows?! When I got into the car that night my heart was just so full!
The McIntyres are one of the sweetest, hardest working families I know!
They run a dairy farm nestled into the mountains of southwest Virginia and just this past month they became farm owners of their beautiful farm! I couldn’t be more excited for them!!
I spent the afternoon with them capturing life on their farm milking cows and collecting eggs and just exploring!

I have known this family for somewhere around 14 years. They were one of the very first families I ever photographed way back in 2011 when I was fundraising to move to Peru. (Let’s just say I am SO thankful they gave me another shot because #neverstoplearning haha)
Lydia’s senior session may have had the most gorgeous golden sunset and a garden full of flowers, but that wasn’t what truly made it so wonderful!
This spring Mike and I ventured into the world of flower farming! Last month I had the idea to open up our mini flower farm on select dates to offer Flower Farm Minis and let me tell you, I am SO glad I did! This is just the first of several farm mini sessions and it was amazing!!
the birth story of sweet Emery Drew! It was a rainy May morning when I got the call that it would be the day! …
I love all births but this one is extra special. You see, Caitlin and Tyler are my first bride and groom to book me for their birth story. I can’t really put into words how much it means to me that a couple would continue to trust me again and again with some of the most special memories in their life.
I photographed their wedding about 2 years ago. (And yes, the previous post is about Tyler’s brother and his family) I love these two a whole bunch! When I found out Caitlin was pregnant I was over the moon excited for them and when she asked me to photograph their Birth Story I think I about died of excitement!
I’ve known this sweet little family for a few years now, ever since Zac’s brother got married! They are the kind of people you just enjoy being around because they are so kind and sweet. I actually had the privilege of doing maternity photos for them when they were expecting their first baby boy so it was so exciting when Bri contacted me to tell their Birth Story for baby boy #2!
I’m back again! And it’s with another beautiful birth story!!
This one is so special to me because Em is one of my closest friends and our friendship actually grew because of our passion for healthy living, organic foods, home/natural birth, and of course, Jesus!
