This Peru destination wedding…Oh man. Where do I even start to be able to describe how incredible Keith + Mila’s Lima, Peru summer destination wedding was!?! The love these two have for God, for each other, and for their family and friends is so incredible! Watching them interact over the five days I spent in Peru with them was such a blessing!

Keith and Mila are actually missionaries in Lima, Peru and their ministry works in communities around the country!

After having the privilege to capture their Peru destination wedding, Mike and I decided we would take our youth group to Peru with them on a mission trip. Over the past 4.5 years we have become close friends with these two and the way they love each other is still so beautiful!

So now let’s go back to their wedding week!

In Peru there are two weddings! Yep, you heard right! The first is the civil ceremony. A couple goes before the court and is legally married. Then a short time later, usually just a few days, they’ll have their church/Christian ceremony! This was such a cool part of Peruvian culture to experience.

Keith and Mila’s Peru Christian destination wedding ceremony was held at this gorgeous home in Lima!

It was like walking into a secret garden with massive tropical trees, vines, and incredible flowers! The front porch had a wall of cast iron pans that I would love to have at my own home one day! #goals And there was even a calf, a turtle, and a rooster hanging around! The turtle even served briefly as a ring bearer, for photo purposes only. haha!

One of the most moving parts of the day was seeing Keith’s groomsmen and Mila’s bridesmaids pray over each of them separately. The Spirit of God was so obviously present the whole day and it was such an honor to get to celebrate with them!
