A Homegrown Love Story
I cannot believe it’s been a whole year since Mike and I and the kids loaded up for a weekend of celebrating Gracie and Aaron South Carolina wedding down in the beautiful low country!!
Our families went to the same church years ago but later God took their family down to South Carolina where her dad pastors Lighthouse Church. So I’ve watched Gracie and her sisters and brothers grow up from afar. It’s a little crazy to think that Gracie has grown into such a beautiful young lady and God brought her this incredible, hard-working man to walk through life together but here they are just celebrating their first anniversary!
For their South Carolina wedding, they held their wedding at their church but it wasn’t the typical “church wedding” like you would think. Their church has a HUGE yard! It’s really more of a massive field on one side, and surrounded but beautiful pine trees. They have a huge cross out in the field and it just made for such a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony!
Aaron is actually a lineman and he LOVES his job! I mean, you are around the guy for 10 minutes and it’s already obvious how crazy he is about Gracie and his job! So they had gotten bunches of wood spools through his job, stained them, and added a beautiful white stencil on the tops of them. They were such cool reception tables! For their cake Gracie had tiny power poles with lights strung between them.
For the father-daughter dance Aaron played and sang the song along with Gracie’s younger sister. Oh! And we cannot forget about the incredible choreographed dance that Gracie’s siblings did for them!
I told you this one was one sweet wedding! Now it’s time for their Homegrown Film and their photos to do the talking!
