I can’t wait to share with you the birth story of Baby Jacob! Looking back, I am SO thankful that Joanna was due before everything with COVID-19 happened!

This birth story is such a special one to me!

You see, Joanna and Josh were the very first family to hire me to capture their son’s birth story almost 6 years ago! So when Joanna messaged me and asked me to photograph the birth story of baby Jacob, y’all, I was on could 9! Their family is the sweetest ever and they just make you feel like you are part of their family!

That morning I woke up excited and ready to go! It’s always a little nerve-wracking trying to decide the exact time to go to the hospital, especially when it is about 45 minutes away. But, when Joanna text that things finally were moving, I dropped my kiddos off and headed to the hospital.

With John Abram’s birth the waiting room was filled to the brim with family members excitedly waiting but this time it was a little different. The hospital had just changed the visitor numbers to only 2 per room due to cold and flu season (thankfully this was before COVID-19 restrictions were implemented) so just grandparents were there this go round.

When I got into Joanna’s room, she and Josh were just quietly talking and resting. I just began to photograph and wait. After a couple hours things picked up and it was time for Jacob to arrive! I’ll hush now and let the pictures do the talking!
