A Homegrown Love Story

Every year I get the privilege to photograph this family and it just gets sweeter and more fun each time!

Sarah is from England and Cass is from southwest Virginia. They met several years ago while serving with Mercy Ships, and through some amazing turn of events they ended up getting married! They live here now on the most beautiful riverside farm! As Cass said, the view reminds you of big sky country but it’s hidden away in our Appalachian Mountains!

Sarah and I always coordinate their family photos when her parents are visiting from England. (When you live so far away from your grandbabies you need lots of pictures of them to get you to the next visit!) And of course Sarah always has the absolute best ideas for what to do on their farm and I’m always in hog heaven!

This year was no different. We hung out in the cornfield, checked out the corn to see how ready it was to harvest, then we headed down to the river! The kids fished and skipped rocks and we even roasted marshmallows till the sun was long gone.

I am so thankful for this sweet family!
